Dear Stranger is a monthly letter subscription. This policy explains how to change or cancel it.
When you subscribe to Dear Stranger, you'll receive a letter, photograph, and any additional items we may provide each month for $15/month plus applicable tax. Your payment details are stored securely, and your card is charged automatically each month until you cancel. There's no fixed end date or contract.
You can cancel anytime through your account portal, also linked in your order confirmation email. To avoid being charged for the next month's letter, cancel before the 25th of the current month. Letters are written and prepared for mailing shortly after that date, so cancellations made on or after the 25th will still receive that month's letter as scheduled, with the subscription ending after that delivery.
Because each letter is handwritten and personalized before it ships, we're unable to offer refunds once a letter has been mailed.
